Hi everyone,
Wondering if someone could help?
We are going to a villa in Torrevieja, and rather than paying for taxi's/transfers we were thinking it could be handy for a hire car. We have a price of £140 for the week. Is this average/expensive/cheap?!?
Any help would be grately appreciated.
Thanks
Dani

Depends on the time of year and on what is included.
To check, get an inclusive quote for Hertz. Then look at the quote you have and work out what is included and what is not (e.g. insurances, full to full / refuelling, second driver etc etc)
Dp the comparison and make your mind up0 -
Avoid GoldCar!!!!! Just returned from Majorca our 7 seater wasn't available gave us a 5 seater, same class apparently. Charged 110 Euros for a tank of diesel, extra for insurance, extra for additional driver, already booked and included in total booking cost. Charged in sterling at an inflated exchange rate without permission. Ended up paying for taxi to get 2 people to hotel as well as inflated hire charges.
See http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-236975.html for further deatils on Goldcar0 -
I would also say that the car hire prices vary from time to time. Generally the rates are high during peak season and on weekends. Recently one of my friends had a good experience renting from http://www.bestspaincarrental.com in Spain and their car hire rates are inclusive of liability insurance, CDW etc. So you can have a look at their car rental deals as they seem to be offering nominally priced services.0
