    Afternoon All

Hope we are well - (as well as you can be Joannasmum sorry for your sad news.

OH cleaned his car out, and took some pics, and Ive listed his car on ebay for spares/repairs.

Not done much at all today, still nursing my self inflicted headache

Might go to Meadowhall later, to the pics. Dont fancy drinking again, all tho it was nice of friends to invite us out (again) - Gosh - what will the neighbours say, thats 3 times on the trot we've been out. lol

Still not attempted shopping, will do that 2mr now. Need to get a few bits in ready for DD Xmas party at school, everyone else filled in the easy option to bring cakes, pop, crisps etc in, no-one filled in the sandwiches, so was left no choice. Never mind

Anyway - better go and have a shower and wake up more
    Have a lovely evening
Take care & Love as usual xxx

    hugs to taplady

Joannasmum - I know there's nothing I can say. Just concentrate on the one you have. hugs

Had a child free day. They had a sleepover at grannie's last night so DH and I could go and see James Bond - Casino Royale. I highly recommend it. And I'm not usually a bond fan.

Went to hexham farmers market and got some stuff. Then came home and wrapped some pressies while there were no brats around.

In my quest for the perfect spag bol (call me Heston lol - I missed his show unfortunately) I'm trying the Tuscan Ragu recipe from twelve. It smells good - a whole bottle of wine in it. Might be a bit rich for the kids though. We'll see.

Take care everyone. Especially you Joannasmum.

A very happy :bdaycake: Nelski!!! Hope you're having a fab day! :T :)

Well, done my surveys today and managed to sprain an ankle getting off a tube train... Nothing bad as I can walk on it but it's painful, and I want to rest it as tomorrow I have more surveys. Since I'm self-employed, it means that no survey - no money, so...

Which means I won't meet my friends at the local tonight and will save some money

Colder here today, so I have heating on but low.

Have a good evening, all! :j

(((hugs))) to everyone who needs/wants one today

Hi everyone. I had a wonderful 24 hours with my big sister and her family. They arrived yesterday afternoon and we chatted till dinner time then went to the pub for a great meal. Came home and talked till midnight.
Today was also relaxed : chatting and then down to the dance studio for dancing (niece had to show us her new rhythmic gymnastics routine - very good!). then we all started dancing (I do ballroom and latin and OH and i both do American line dancing). A great day. They have gone to the airport now to catch their plane to SA for Christmas. :)
Soup and fresh made bread for tea.
Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate! :)
  • Joannasmum - I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you manage to rest up and take time to grieve.

There are some excellent miscarriage forums on the web, if it would help to talk about it?

Thinking of you and your OH.

    Lots and lots of love

    ((((((hugs)))))) Joannasmum.

Today, I finally got my Christmas cards posted :) as the photo's arrived to pop in to them :)

Then DD and I went to a Victorian town which had a Christmas market on too. We had a great time, and DD had her first donkey ride! (She is only 3) and went on an old fashioned carousel by hereself as well (she refused me coming on) I was most anxious, but she loved it.

DH is busy working on the staircase as I type .... we may have stairs soon :j :j . In the meantime I've started to sort through the various piles of dumped stuff in the house, as from Monday I want to be in a position to do a deep clean of the house, but first the junk needs to be found homes/binned/relocated.

Decided on the starter for Christmas Day (MIL won't like the smoked salmon, My ma won't like the quail's eggs, but the rest of us'll be happy - and there's no pleasing them both either way!) I bought the organic smoked salmon from Waitrose a couple of months ago desperately reduced :)

Tomorrow I am going to make the giblet stock.

I can't make decent pastry (something to practice in 2007) so MIL will be making the mince pies (mind you, I'm not convinced of those either *cough*) so I will have back up ones (can't have Santa turning his nose up and not leaving me any pressies, LOL).

Right, on to watching the X-Factor final ....... go Elona go.

  • Joannasmum ((((hugs)))) when I miscarried my doctor told me it was nature's way. Shows what men think, huh? My thoughts are with you on your loss.

Catz Aussie is now mad cos she has more than 2000 posts so is a Mad Maniac Moneysaving something-or-other. You know what I mean. :p

Scruffy (((hugs))) to you. My father kept having episodes where his memory totally failed him. He was tested for dementia, strokes, ITAs, the lot. Turned out he had a form of epilepsy that was easily treated with tablets. He has been absolutely fine since he started his treatment. I know it's easily said but try not to worry until they have done all the tests they can do to establish what the problem is.
