can i get child benefit paid weekly?

When our first was born, way back in 1982, we ticked the 'weekly paid at Post Office' box rather than monthly (4-weekly?) into a Bank Account which was their preferred option... IIRC it implied that was the only option one could or should choose.
We got weekly. Our peers were gob-smacked as they were all on the monthly. As my Mum always used to say "you'll never get what you don't ask for".0 -
The HMRC don't pay child benefit.
Who pays it then ?
