can i get child benefit paid weekly?

Can i get it weekly? Due maternity leave soon and i feel it will be easier weekly or do i need ti be on benefits?

    When i asked to have mine weekly they said no as i did not fulfil the criteria. You have to be in receipt of certain benefits such as IS, JSA or ESA to be paid weekly. If your employed then usually its 4 weekly. I asked last year i don't know if its changed since then.

    You can only get your Child Benefit paid weekly, if you meet the criteria, as contained in this link.

    Does mine still get paid weekly because i USED to fulfill the criteria. Its not changed at all since my circumstances did over 5 years ago. xx

    I think so. Once you are being paid weekly you can keep being paid weekly. If you rang them up and wanted monthly they would say yes but then if you changed your mind again they would say no. Does that make sense.

    I have never been on any benefits and my husband works full time and since the birth of our oldest 13 years ago we have always recieved payments weekly

    it did use to be weekly then they changed the system to 4 weekly, for new claimaints you have to meet certain criteria for it to be paid weekly.

    Same here, my kids are aged between 12 + 17 and I have always been paid child benefit weekly.
    The loopy one has gone :j
