Vouchers
I did a survey a while ago which asked to install some net-usage monitoring stuff on my computer. I've done that and because I kept it installed for a fortnight they gave me a £15 Amazon voucher todayIf I keep it on my laptop until December I'll get another one.
I now have over £70 in Amazon vouchers and the (non-3G) Kindle is within grasp. Does anyone have a Kindle and if so do I really need the 3G version? Thanks!

Depends I bought the 3G version because 90% of the time when I'm abroad I'm visiting my mums place and she doesn't have and internet access at the apartment so I wouldn't be able to download new books if I ever run out of things to read. Plus it means I have some (albeit limited) internet access via it. But I am rather lazy and probably could go find a wifi zone near by if I needed to download new books and hadn't bought the 3G version.
If you mainly plan to use it at home or in places you know you can get 'net access to download then nope you don't need the 3G.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hmmm...I don't tend to go on holiday *sob* so would normally be using it at home in terms of downloads or visiting friends, all of whom would have internet.
Decisions, decisions!

In which case tbh I'd say go for the cheaper version. Even while I'm travelling I can't see that I'll ever particularly need the 3G for anything other than the basic web browsing - given at the moment I have over 700 freebies waiting to be read buying books is unlikely! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Morning!
Today isn't going to be a NSD as Fred really needs fuel and my Sainsbury's card hasn't been activated yet so I can't try using that to pay for it. Bah! I'll just put £20 in until I can do a proper fill-up later in the week. It's also Fat Club tonight so I will probably be buying some snacks from there.
I did a quick SB survey this morning for 25 points, so will hopefully be able to order another £5 Amazon voucher by Friday or Saturday.
Work have decided to put me on call 24/7 for the next three weeks  which means I have to be able to get into the office within an hour if required but does mean that I'll be getting paid for being available, so will be quids in next month. I'm going to have enough cash to pay off a couple of hundred pounds of my loan, go to the massive craft fair in Glasgow in October and pay for our holiday in the highlands (also in October) so BOO to exhaustion but YAAAYYY to cash
Today I'm starting at half eight so I can leave at half four and get home to change before fat club. I only have 3.5lbs to go until I've lost two stonesI don't think that I will get there this week, but if I've lost 1lb that gives me something to aim for next week.

I have the basic one. Have never felt deprived by the absence of 3G but then I do have several hundred free books stashed on it.
Did you know you can get them free with mobile contracts? Even some of the tenner a month contracts have them.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

l.m.hart, I'm pleased to report that I have a car full of fuel paid for with my Sainsbury's gift card, so you should be fine to do the same thing via the scheme at your daughter's job
That doesn't make today a NSD though as I am transferring the money to cover the fuel from the account I bought the giftcard from. Does that make sense?!

Ipsos - 475 points and still waiting for my £10 Amazon voucher...!

Valued opinions - £2.75+£2.25 pending
Maximiles - 2213 points (8400 needed for £30 Amazon or a more realistic 3000 for a £10 Sainsbury's voucher)
How many points do you need for the £5 amazon voucher? I've done my 1st survey for them tonight. I had forgotten i 'd signed up to Toluna years ago, that's why I had problems logging inI've signed up for Ipsos and will have to check out the others you've mentioned. No fun but extra cash / vouchers are needed.
That's good news about the on call work you've been given. I know it's tiring and restricting but look at how much you can achieve with the additional funds. Good stuff :jOne step at a time0 -
