  • This is something that would be of interest to me - how do I go about finding a consultant so that I can join to sell the products?

Do I have to do parties as I work with lots of people i'm certain I can drum up interest just by online marketing and work, family and friends etc, is this allowed?

Does anyone do this online alone? With Christmas coming up I think it would be brilliant for Christmas gifts.

What is involved in signing up? Once signed up would I be able to start selling straight away or do I need to meet the consultant before selling?

    Many thanks

    Hi :)
I don't do parties at all, only basket mobile parties as I have three young children at home and time is precious.
I also work this mainly online and am building up a good solid customer base .
They are excellent for Christmas!I am also selling via hubbys work where I have gotten orders from the men there who want to order something without trawling the shops-I have even agreed to giftwrap free for them!
Lots of orders through that. Also our online store and other ways we can market online .

To sign up is a straightforward process, the site leads you step by step through it and then your kit arrives approx 7 days later(you can track its progress through your back office).
Yes you can start selling right away ,no restrictions in that respect at all :)

Hiya, I joined Scentsy this year as I love candles, and haven't looked back, I love doing it so much as they are such fantastic products. I really enjoy doing the parties as it gives me a chance to talk about how great the products are and to show them off to people. However I know a lot of people don't do that many and sell via other methods, i.e facebook, direct to family friends ect. You aren't allowed to sell on ebay, but I like this as it means the product isn't de-valued.

Good luck with whatever you decide x x x

What is a "basket party"? And what to Scentsy actually sell?

Looks quite interesting, will keep an eye on this thread :)

    Hi Claree __x :)
A basket party is simply a take on a traditional home party but mobile so it is less hassle for the host.
I give my hosts a basket for a week containing a selection of the popular scents from each range, plus a warmer/Buddy (depending on host wishes) plus order forms, books, info etc and he/she keeps it for a week and collects orders in her own time yet still gets the rewards as he/she would with a home party.

Scentsy sell what I would call home fragrance systems and products.
Handmade ceramic warmers that melt the wax by means of an LED heating element .The dish sits on top,you break off a cube or two from your wax bar and let it melt easily.

Two cubes lasts approx 4 days or so depending on strength of fragrance and how you get used to it.

They also sell scent paks which are sachets filled with the scented beads and you can use in drawers, cupboards or inside your Buddy.
Hubby puts one in the car.

A Buddy is a plush soft animal with zippered back to which you insert a scent pak of your choice and these are very popular.

Lastly we have perfume sticks of solid scents ,new for Scentsy but on same premise as Lush solid perfumes.

I joined launch day and love this company, its simplicity is what is attractive to me,and the fact I love scents and Yankees, just these are safer but same quality.Actually Hubby said he prefers Scentsy to Yankee now! lol

    Hi everyone,
I found out Scentsy just the other day and decided to have a look on MSE. So glad I did and very keen to do it. I've never done any of this kind of selling, party plan stuff so a bit nervous.

Can anyone that's been with the company tell me how long have they been and if their takings are going up?
How do you sell it/what do you find works best?
Also about the product, could you tell me how long does a bar last?

I'am in Sutton and looking for a consultant. Would love to join in time for Christmas shopping.

    Thank you.

Hi, they started in the US in 2004, and are going from strength to strenght. So popular over there not only due to the fantastic range of scents, but the safely aspect of not having to worry about having a naked flame. A bar has 8 blocks in it, and I find you only need 1 block at once, and a bar lasts for 40-80 hours. At the moment I sell to friends, at parties and events, but really it's whatever works for you best.

I will send you a pm as well x

    Hi mrs-d
I joined launch day and yes can definitely say hand on heart my commissions have risen every single month,up by a lot last month too!
We launched Ireland Monday and its been so busy, emails, skype chats and people contacting me now for stalls. Its going from strength to strength.

And most important is that the products are excellent.I love them and it shows.
    Buddies are selling very well!

I market online mostly and find it works well for me,also basket parties and referrals are keeping me busier and busier :)
The great thing is you work it how you want,no script or sales patter forced on you :)
