I think you are beginning to run out of options (unless you win the lottery)

Have you tried any of the previous suggestions?

    Borrow from friends/family
Go into the bank with your work contract and ask for an extension on your overdraft
    Phone your employer
Try to get some part time work

Money isn't going to land in your lap and you have to be proactive if you want to succeed. This is doable but you have to try everything!

ps Crossed posts - great minds and all that!

Now I am going to give you some tough love - get off your *** and get to the bank, ring your employers, do something!

You will soon be working for a mental health charity and whilst I don't know what your job involves I am sure it will involve being positive so start practising!

well, if you don't want to fib, don't want to knock doors, don't want to sell stuff, don't want to ask family, don't want to ask your employer, and don't want to go and talk to your bank, I am all out of ideas.

No one is going to give you the money!

It's beginning to sound as though he just wants it handed to him on a plate.

That idiot and the pmlindyloo poster.

Is it any wonder some people get funny with people?

Listen, first of all I have done as much as I can. I don't have to tell you everything I've done.

If you must know, I went an booked a bank appointment before I even started the thread (they couldn't see me there and then), but I also have to wait until my contract comes through. I can't magic it. There's a lot of stuff to sort out...I did say it was in a nutshell.

    Jesus christ.

Phone your employer? As if I haven't done that. Try to get some part-time work? Again.

You always hope that people who reply can be helpful, not that they're just smug gits with !!!!!! all else to do.

    Debt free 4th April 2007.

Young man? I don't think I ever told you my age. Maybe the patronising attitude is why I was 'arsey'.

And I know for sure that whenever I reply to people's queries, I try my best to help.

So wherever it gets me, it won't be to your mindset.

TG82 - loads of the advice on here has been really helpful. I don't believe it was anyone's intention to be patronising from the outset. Well, I think so anyway. How about signing up with a temping agency for a bit - even short-term?

And, as a previous poster suggested - do you have any family who may be able to lend you a bit of money with which to get established? I appreciate it's difficult to ask one's family sometimes.

I wish you lots of luck.

you sir is a tit....grow a pair of balls instead of coming on here crying about no one will give you money,
when you have had plenty of time to put something away...i detest people like you who want your bum wiped for you....become a man for once...you have slagged some very good advice.
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
