Looks like Sainsbury are going to introduce a scheme like Asda & Tesco, but the till will check ASDA, Tesco & Morrison prices & automatically print out a voucher for the difference to spend on your next shop :j

So basically they could just deliberately charge more to get you back into their store to spend the voucher??
This could happen repeadtedly??
Just my cynical thought, but why not just make sure the prices were cheaper in the first place??
Or why not just be able to take the voucher to CS for a refund??

I would rather give my money to Sainsbury than Tesco, and comparing agianst more than one supermarket is def a plus compared to the others.0

i personally dont think they would allow that to happen but thats my opinion0 -

Then why give a voucher??
If the till checks the prices and Sainsburys are dearer, why not just deduct the amount from the initial bill?? The amount (if any) has already been worked out.
For me anyway, the voucher is an attempt at getting you to return - forced loyalty. If you don't return with the voucher then Sainsburys have obtained a higher price.
If they are really price-matching, there shouldn't be any vouchers as the prices should be equal or lower.

im not disagreeing with you about the forced return but if you shop at sainsburys in the first place then its not much of a forced return
yes in theory the prices should be lowered and advertised as such,
its the same as tesco price check isnt it, a voucher gets printed of at home and your forced to use it there,0 -

If I do I cannot fully use the results
1. I only have Tesco and Sainsbury nearby
2. I work very long full time hours and have other commitments so cannot take time to go around different supermarkets (I think i do well to get there rather than use online shopping)
If one will honestly price check with the others I can go as well as and those I cannot then for me that is a winner.
If you have the time and abilty to go to multiple shops for the different deals then that is great, but for me this would be great.0 -

Perhaps you are not part of their target market?0 -
I actually find Sainsburys cheaper. One big factor is that if I go into Tesco at 5pm they are almost always sold out of their basics fruit and veg so I have to buy the next brand up. Sainsburys might be a bit more expensive for their basics but at least I can almost always get them. But I guess the price guarantee won't show that.:cool:I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly
