    I just love this one.

My cat came with his own card with all his old jabs etc on it, since he was a kitten, I would check with the old vet and see what information they can give you.

I am sure to start with there will be a sorting out of the 'pecking' order in your house, just make sure you are at the top of it!!

Just spoke to OH and told him it is probably wise to get Gizmo started on jabs this week so that they both get done roughly the same time.

Just to add sorry forgot, Georgie has first lots of jabs this Thursday, already booked, she will be 9 weeks then.

  • Awwwwww, she's gorgeous! My wee one loves my dog too and rubs herself all over him when she comes in, it's really funny to watch as the poor dog couldn't care less!

A friend of mine's cat went missing for 5 months - they'd totally given up hope of ever seeing her again, walked in from work one afternoon and she was curled up on their bed as if she'd just gone out that morning. It was kind of like "what's all the fuss about!" Goodness knows where she'd been for that length of time!

I'd say introduce them ASAP so the kitten grows up knowing their is anther cat in the house and won't get very territorial - obviously the wee one would need somewhere to "escape" and be safe if they were going to be left in the house together.

    Good luck

Gizmo has his jabs Wednesday OH gave in after my lecture tonight, Georgie has hers Thursday.

I guess play safe and wait until Georgie is allowed out before they start meeting..

OH said the vet said 3 weeks before the 2nd lots of jabs for Gizmo

Maybe each are having a different brand of vaccination with different guidance from the manufacturer? Or maybe because one is a kitten and one an adult? I've just been told three weeks for my girl, she is a youngster but not a kitten and is being jabbed on Thursday too! :p Many insurance companies will only insure vaccinated pets even if they are indoor, so financially it makes sense.

I got Georgie insured last week once we had confirmation of sex from the vet, explained she was too young for her jabs, told them what date she is due jabs.. they said fine and have set her up on insurance, admittedly bit slow on sending out the paperwork.

Brilliant! Lulu is not insured yet, she is old enough to be vaccinated but cannot prove she has been (stray). :o She probably has as she is neutered, but who knows when her boosters were due.
