Lamewolf I have PM'd you
Jo Dr Who can be scary for young children, if they are the sensitive type. DD2 watches it clutching hold of me!! (she is 16!!) Yet she watches horror movies  (at friends' houses, not mine!)
Well, today I have cleared the dining table (I couldn't see it this morning!), emptied the hoover & cleaned the filter, cleared out the butterfly & ladybird enclosures (they were let loose in the garden some days/weeks ago) weeded the garden, started planting some troughs (should have been done weeks ago!) but it rained on me
, updated my fire alarm test sheet, updated my risk assessments, and S&S the kitchen. DH has cut the grass (before the rain
) and he is prepping dinner with DS (DS wanted to make dinner, but doesn't know how!). Off to walk the dog in a mo I think.
I will update later0 -

I had to spend about 3 hours in a car on Thursday (not even all in one chunk!) and hated every minute of it.
Yep, it does lose it's appeal. My idea of a holiday is not going anywhere...
Strimming done. Hedges at back done. Contemplating mixing up some roundup to do the drive. Maybe I should do the plant feed first so I don't get any cross-contamination (I have separate watering cans).
Then just kitchen cleaning, hoovering, floor-washing, freezing last bits of food, bins, packing and nails to do.... Oh and DW and washing up....
May e I should try to keep on top of things a bit better0 -

Just popping in to say hi :hello: to all my flylday friends!
Everyone's all right, but just very busy at the moment, so computer time has to be limited, or nothing else gets done. Minimal flying happening, although I did the bathroom properly on Friday.
Love and hugs, especially for toots, lady-liberty and lamewolf, and all the poorlies. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Nice to see you serena
Plants fed. Weeds poisoned. Next stop kitchen to investigate what food remains to be dealt with... Think it is probably radishes, chicory, lettuce and pears....0 -
Afternoon all.
Ashamed to admit that zero flying done todayas had DD2 at A&E this morning. She's hardly slept all weekend (and therefore neither have I) and today complained of a sore ear. I had a look at 0730 to see gunk coming out of her ear so phoned NHS24. The out of hours service phoned me back at 0800 to tell me to take her to the out of hours doc at A&E so we were there by 0815. No-one was there apart from staff and we had to wait till 0850 to be seen:mad:. And then the doc was just a rude so and so. But we got drops for her ears and she is sleeping at the mo. Boots are great pharmacists up here as when we went in for her ear drops, they promptly gave me a bottle of paracetamol and one of ibuprofen on the minor ailments. So saved me about £12-£15 there! Am knackered!!!
Then came home to get a phone call from one of my work colleagues. There are only 3 of us and it looks like the boss is wanting to get rid of one of us. So am going back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks holidays to the uncertainty of whether I will still have a job by the end of the week!:eek::eek:
So am a bit tired but a lot did get done this week so fingers crossed DH will continue with it next week!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:
Current debt levels: OD £3860, Loan 1 £6091, Loan 2 £5052, Parents £260, Total £16133  As at 01 May 2012 - 51.69% paid off :j
Aiming for a No Spend Christmas 2012!0 -
been to town so I picked up some lambs lettuce seeds (Wilkos have half price seeds) and started with batch 1.
I Have had what I think is a genius idea for my class's allotment patch for next year...I am going to gather up some strawberry runners, root them and plant them - then they will need minimal careand we will have something to 'show' for summer term - it's really difficult for us to get the class down there as we have no-one to help. There really isn't enough room for a whole class to work at once...
Done some ironing - about one-and-a-half lots left (I do a 'maidenful' at a time.)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
