euro travellers cheques

going to majorca on tuesday and ive ordered euro t.cheques and cash.we we in usa last year and used our cheques as cash at most places we went to hence my decision to get the euro ones this year

ive been told its not as easy to use these cheques as it is in the usa
is this true hope not because im not left with much time to do anything about it

Afraid it is true, the hotel may take them for paying your bill at the end of your stay or hopefully there will be a bank where you can cash them.

It is often next to impossible to change TCs in Europe without going to a bank, spending a long time over it and paying a fee.

Your hotel MAY do it (particularly upmarket ones) but don't count on it.
