I have. I was selling some netbooks for £200. Two people collected as they were local. They both preferred paypal so they had some comeback if the things went kaput in short order. Perfectly understandable. However, I've been dealing with the public most of my working life. I believe I can spot a wrong un quite quickly. Plus they were local, i.e. within reach. I would have insisted on postage for anyone from a distance

Although i only accept cash myself - i have just paid with paypal for an item i am collecting tomorrow. So far, the seller as not complained.

My reason is that there were no pictures of the item AND i could not be bothered calling at the bank for the cash. Plus quidco cashback AND ebay plus points - which are not available if you pay cash.

So far, so good, but if he gets the jitters and asks to refund me and i pay cash - i will - as i know how it feels.
