There were a few posts on here a few weeks ago from people expecting a payment ahead of schedule (over the weekend) but were surprised when it did not go in until the day it was meant to. I have no idea on the technicalities but know people were concerned then too.

As RB says though, relax and try checking it later or first thing tomorrow.

As I understood the lloyds system.....
The system updates overnight between 11pm and midnight I recall - though faster payments are shown real time.
So if you logged in very late one night you may see transactions (say a direct debit or an incomming BACS transfer actually due on the next day on the screen, though they would be dated for the next day. In other words you would see payments due in advance.
At the weekend the Lloyds system always seemed to do the update for Monday early - like on mid Sunday rather than near midnight on Sunday....but still the date of the transaction would be for Monday.
The transaction is not actually occuring on Sunday.....it was merely being entered up in advance.

It may be that this is causing confusion with people thinking things are occuring on Sunday when it's not and they may have changed it - I don't know.
All the main clearing banks actually do indeed have advance knowledge of BACS/Direct Debit transactions due to occur on the next day the day before they occur.

Lloyds work in strange ways Their days run from 22:00 - 22:00. Monday now runs from 22:00 on Sunday, until 22:00 Monday ... so its likely that you wont see the transaction before that time this evening. Hope that helps x

Indeed it does. It's a fairly recent change, and they've updated the information on their website to reflect this...

thankyou all for all your help. in actual fact i will be recieving my payments every sunday at 10pm as that is when it gets credited i was very pleased that i know now so i have no need to worry. many thanks.
