I can't say for Lloyds but I don't recall banks ever doing business on weekends. I know for the Halifax that any weekend transactions never show up until the Monday or Tuesday and I'm pretty sure the same was true for FirstDirect though my account there has been closed for a few years now.
It may be that it was marking the funds as unavailable or available but not sure the transaction actually happened.
Sorry this isn't what you want to hear and I maybe way off base, I'm not a banker so only going based as a consumer.April 2008 - Epiphany - At least £28K owed to 5 CC's
[STRIKE]Mint (3k)[/strike] - Paid Dec 2010
[strike]Egg (2K)[/strike] - Paid 2009
[STRIKE]Barclaycard (5K)[/strike] - Paid Jan 2013
[strike]FirstDirect (11k)[/strike] - Paid June 2013

As a Lloyds customer I always checked about 12.30 and any credits were shown by then. However in the last few Sundays has not appeared until very late on Sunday.0 -
that is the same with me. i knwo if it hasnt gone in by 3 pm on a sunday then its not going in that day. i keep checking my bank every 30 mins but nothing is showing.. maybe if i went to a cash machine would it show there ? i dont know whether its a problem with internet banking or not0

Please try not to worry. Last Sunday I was expecting debits and credits and as already advised they never appeared until very late. In fact I checked about 12 midnight and everything was expecting had gone through by then.
If you are still concerned ring IB but personally I would check much later and going to the cash machine will not hold any extra information.0 -

Claire from what I understand their system was modified in recent weeks and whilst transactions could have been highlighted in advance in the past, this has now changed to specific days.
I expect there are others on here who will be able to shed far more light on what I have briefly attempted to explain.0 -

how do you mean modified ? and in what way ? i also got told by friends that because of recent complaints, lloyds bank have stopped money going out early. this would mean i get money tomorrow which isnt a problem i am just worried about bills and rent being paid.
i have tried searching the web about the changes to the system but havent found anything0 -

Claire, lets keep it simple. I am expecting a credit and has not appeared yet and every confidence when I check later it will be in the account.0
