    Update:

    Had an emailed apology earlier.

Funny thing happened this afternoon though, I was talking to my Mother and mentioned what had happened saying I was disappointed, Mum said she'd gone into town yesterday and gone into the same store. She asked for some Sadolin to paint the fence and the woman who she asked replied "Dunno where it is". The younger boy she was with said "Me neither, its all changed round" and with that they carried on their conversation!! Mum described a middle aged woman so it could possibly be the same person with a stinking attitude.

I was amazed actually that my Mum had had an almost identical experience in the same store. I was going to reply to my apology and tell them this further little gem, but I've come to the conclusion I'll just avoid the place wherever possible I think.

Neither of these incidents should have occurred. Contact csfeedback @ wilkoexec.co.uk

I have worked as a temp in countless stores - and Wilkinsons were the best at training staff in customer service IMHO! They are very proud of their customer service and management take very seriously customer complaints! Head Office are also 'hands on' and believe me - I have seen the 'Wrath of Head Office' when a customer complains!

Its not par for the course GrayMe - but, I have said it before and will say it again, staff take their attitude from the manager - if the manager doesnt care - the staff dont. but head office soon realise whats going on if the customers complain enough! if customers dont complain and just go elsewhere - how are head office supposed to know its the attitude of the staff which is putting them off?

I've been very pleasantly surprised at customer services in wilko's in the past. bought a stainless steel brabantia style kitchen bin, got it out of the box, had a huge dent in it. took it back, swapped no questions asked and an apology for supplying dodgy stock, i was most impressed. so I get the impression they'd want to know about poor service, especially if it's putting people off shopping there.
