Bloomin Wilkinsons!

I saw a couple of Halogen Ovens on their website yesterday so nipped in to store to have a look. My local store has just had a refit and I couldn't immediately see the electrical aisle as everything has moved. I approached a lady who I've seen working in there for years and asked. "Don't sell em" came the rather short reply. I explained that yes, you do, they are on your website. I went on to describe the ovens. "Don't sell em" says she in a cant be arrised fashion and that was that.
Went to the next town and bought my oven from TJ Hughes instead who's staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Called back in to my local Wilkinsons this morning for a grow bag and happened by chance on the electrical aisle. There on the shelf was not one, not two but THREE different brands of Halogen oven...
I love it when staff can't be bothered to help you.

Tell the manager.
Personally I get friendly and helpful service from my local Wilkinsons.0 -

You'd be doing the manager a favour by telling him. Although like the others I usually get good service in Wilkos0

I was a temp in Wilkinsons many moons ago - and this sort of customer disservice is NOT tolerated! she should have taken you to the customer service desk and told them you were inquiring about the ovens - if she didnt know about the stock herself. I do hope you can describe her - or remember the name on her badge! Wilkinsons is one of my fave stores - customers are usually treated like royalty!0

Aha but here's the thing, she was on the customer service desk! I may send an email anyway, I didn't get her name but can describe her. It was certainly far removed from the normal cheery, helpful staff I have come across in that store.0 -
I have always had great service at Wilkos.
I e-mailed the customer service department a few months ago regarding out of stock items, they replied wanting more info, i replied to this and they sent me a £10 voucher for bringing it to their attention.
Big thumbs up from me for Wilkos's!0 -

tell them the day and the time and her description! they will know who it is! That was out of order - she could have looked it up for you - even if that store didnt stock them she could have ordered them for you! Wilkinsons lost a sale there - management wont like that! with Wilkies the customer is the most important person in the store and that is drummed into staff!0 -

I have emailed and provided all the info I can, thank you for your adviceThey did lose a sale, the oven I wanted to buy was £40.
If I hear anything I'll let you know!0 -
Seems highly unusual for Wilkos.People at my local branch are always friendly and helpful to a fault.Did complain to them once that they had too many nice things on their shelves and that I always spent more than I intended when I went in.They did of course see the joke.If Woolies had gone in the same direction, perhaps they wouldn't have gone under....0

Update:
Had an emailed apology earlier.
Funny thing happened this afternoon though, I was talking to my Mother and mentioned what had happened saying I was disappointed, Mum said she'd gone into town yesterday and gone into the same store. She asked for some Sadolin to paint the fence and the woman who she asked replied "Dunno where it is". The younger boy she was with said "Me neither, its all changed round" and with that they carried on their conversation!! Mum described a middle aged woman so it could possibly be the same person with a stinking attitude.
I was amazed actually that my Mum had had an almost identical experience in the same store. I was going to reply to my apology and tell them this further little gem, but I've come to the conclusion I'll just avoid the place wherever possible I think.0
