i offered some articles for sale this last week as they were no use to me,anyway i have so far had 3 messages from 3 different ebayers asking me to sell outside ebay rules and they only finished yesterday
2 cite forgot to bid
all my items were clearly marked no reserve and all started at £10 or £15
do these people really think if they cant be bothered bidding i would be bothered getting involved with them
or is it endemic just like the 130 buyers laptop scam i was part of 3 weeks ago?
thanks

And the problem is?0

well if you sell outside eBay you won't have to pay their fees0
-
If they didn't sell & the buyers are offering an acceptable price I don't see the problem.0

must just be me then
i wont deal as i said though
they had a week to push the buy button
thanks0 -
Most people like to bid in the last few seconds, so if these people don't know about snipe bid tools it is easy to miss an auction end.0

If you don't want to sell them to people who actually ask can they buy them off you, why did you put them on ebay in the first place?0

i just thought they might be more use to someone at giveaway prices rather than collecting dust
i put them on ebay because it was a free entry week and i also had the camera in my hand after doing the autotrader routine0 -

fair point but why not just put the first bid on if they arent sure?
its like me going to a car auction buying nothing and moaning
you have to be in to win

I've had people wanting to buy outside of ebay whilst a listing is a live 'buy it now' to which I've replied that I dont deal outside of ebay and point out that they gain nothing by doing it that way, as I incur the ebay fees, not the buyer. I assume they probably cant bid, due to unpaid bidder strikes but arent letting on.0

EBay seem to be doing a free listing weekend every fortnight so why don't you wait for the next announcement (probably this Thursday) and then message the potential buyers to let them know that they'll be listed again?0
