Yes am trying to drink the green tea but as I don't normally drink hot drinks I don't often remember. Managed one cup today, maybe I'll do 2 tomorrow....

Green tea is nice cold too.I sometimes make a pot in the morning, let it cool, put it in a jug into the fridge and drink it throughout the day.

You just have to be careful not to let it stew, ususally you infuse it for 2-3 minutes only.

Thanks I'll try doing that with the green tea!

I've done slimming world fairly successfully a couple of times but I found that as there is no portion control if I fell off the wagon I fell off big time. Am thinking of going back though....

You must be doing something right if you've lost 5lbs!So please don't be discouraged.

I've always understood that it's better to lose weight slowly.

To lose 1lb you need to have a carolie deficit of 3500kcal.If you manage to eat 500kcal less a day,in theory you could lose 1lb a week. Then there's exercise, which increases metabolic rate.Exercising also can increase muscle mass which will burn more calories.

Personally,I can't diet.I prefer to try and stick to a healthy and balanced diet.I have dieted in the past and always end up putting the weight on again.

Ive tried most of them in the past ,but now when i diet i always just eat low FAT food.It always works really well, i always lose a good amount it always goes back on again when i go back to my old ways. But it does work if only i could eat sensibly for the rest of my life it would be ok.!

You can get alli (brand Xenical same thing under different name ) from your GP then it is only the cost of a prescription.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

I've been drinking green tea for many months (because I like it)- can't say I've noticed any great weight loss though:(

Lost about half a stone last year with Alli, then had a holiday and it all went to pot:(

Never had any side effects luckily

Started back on it today -wish me luck ;) I'm Gonna need it:p

I have no idea if what you are looking for is the chemical suplements. But I would go with green tea. Ever tried it a couple years ago and I had lose my weight. But I still consume it to maintain my weight. Better take te natural ones.

    Hi Liz-Paul,

I've found that fennel tea is a great appetite suppressant. Like marmiterules, I too leave it in a jug in the fridge so I can drink it cold instead of hot. I find having a glass before my meal stops me overeating and the sweetness of it can ward off any of my snack cravings. It's also great for your digestion, stops wind, and "allegedly" can help the appearance of cellulite.

Now that I've said that, I have to go and buy some more!

Good luck with your weightloss xx
