    Really? thats good.
Im thinking of getting an Amex Platinum card. Its £300 (less £60 quidco cashback) per yr.
You get 42000 miles( points) + lounge access for 2( platinum) cards + worldwide travel insurance for up to 4 extra (green) card holders, so that alone is prob worth the £240.

Pricing next Easter hols. WTP for 2 is £1870. Club is £4K !
Are these upgrades really that easy to get?

Just had a quick look, and there is availability on almost everyday over that period. Chances are you will be able to get it even cheaper if you wait for the post Christmas sale, but obviously there are no guarantees! ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

I think the 40000 points with Quidco maybe finished in May
You can get recommended on ebay for 42000 points though. some offer 10% cashback on acceptance.

Am I right in thinking though that you have to be a member of BA's Executive Club to use miles/cash to ugrade? It's free to join and if you have others in your household, you should get a household account and then miles can be combined.
Our 16 year old daughter has approx 6,500 miles plus we are flying Club to Cancun next month which gives each of of around 14,500 miles, we can add them all together, combined with our existing miles and we intend upgrading with them for a holiday next year.

You can also exchange Tesco clubcard vouchers for BA miles, you'll get 500 BA miles per £2.50 of vouchers. We currently have around £30 in Texco vouchers we intend to exchange for BA miles.
