You need a program called enigma video switcher which you boot the softmodded xbox with to change your xbox from PAL to NTSC.

Then go into the msdash and enable all the HDTV settings 720p 1080i etc then reboot back into XBMC which if you have a HDTV capable TV and connected via compnent will now display in HDTV

I cna't remember where I got the switcher from I think it was a bittorrent link search these forums and you should be able to find a link somewhere

Or go here put the 3 letters in the box mid top right and click download

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7VAP9V9D

you need to burn as an ISO to a DVD-R and boot from that

If for some reason I'm not allowed to do this sorry andadmin please delete the offer

I made a fairly large order which is showing as "Dispatched" on 16th Dec. Needless to say, not received yet so have e-mailed but realise won't get reply until maybe later this week? Anyone had any delivery issues with this Company? Should I be getting worried?

I also ordered some items from this website which were supposedly dispatched on the 18th December. Given that they charge such a high postage charge you would have that they would ship by a company that you can trck the parcel with. However no sign of my parcel and no sign of a response to the email sent a couple of days ago. Will keave it a couple more and then tell them that I will contact the credit card company to see what they can do. Custoimer service is bad from my point of voew if they cant even respond to a query about an order within 48hrs.

Go for the Xecutor 3 modchip + hard drive, piece of cake and lot less messing than the soft

Softmod takes less than 5mins. You can only get the xbox apart in that time if you are going to chip it.

Chips were usefull years ago when there was no other choice (and in the early days of the exploit). Now there is absolutely no need to chip for 99% of people.

Save the £30-£40 the chip would cost you and get a 250gig hard drive with it.

    Nealeb,
After your order has been delivered/cancelled (delete as appropriate), try leaving some kind of critical feedback for this retailer on the Amazon Marketplace page. You'll get a spiteful reply if my experience is anything to go by.
Glad to hear a lot of people were able to avail of this offer but mine was cancelled and I had only ordered one item. I was appalled at the response this company gave me on their feedback page.
I would advise others to steer clear.

Hi all and thanks to those of you that responded to my post,

Just had an e-mail update today: -

We will chase this today. (Thursday)

I was thinking of contacting my card company too but will probably give it a couple of days now they've at least got in touch. My order came to around £65 including delivery.
  • Got mine the other day from Amazon but i have a fixed pixel in the middle of the screen i think. It's very big and red they will take it back if i pay for p&p both ways and that will cost me £6.31 one way i take it i cant fix the pixel?

Considering the size of the screen, I would consider this to be unacceptable.
On a normal tft screen (e.g. 17") a couple of dead pixels around the edge of the screen may be deemed acceptable by the ISO whatever standard, but a cluster of them in the centre would be distracting, and probably meet the criteria of being rejectable.
The smaller screen size of this unit makes these more noticeable and puts the argument of rejection in your favour.

I am sure others will correct me if I am wrong, but I would email them (written confirmation is neccessary) to inform them that you are rejecting the goods for the reason that they are unsatisfactory quality/not fit for purpose, and tell them you are not prepared to cover the expense of returning 'not fit for purpose' items as you are not obliged to by law, and they are to arrange collection at their expense and at a time convenient for you.

Amazon have these priced at £27.99 now plus p&p.

Did anyone get the promised email with the link to get them at the held price of £14.99 from Direct4Games in the week beginning 7th Jan? I didn't!

I didn't wait for the link luckily and just ordered it from Amazon because it was a gift for my OH's birthday yesterday. He is very pleased with it and now his friends are want one (all in their 30's even though it sounds like they are teenagers :rotfl:)
