From memory it is 12v 1A DC supply, from either the 12v inverter (has a separate output for the screen) or from a mains adaptor. Both are provided.

    Thanks very much!
  • I made a fairly large order which is showing as "Dispatched" on 16th Dec. Needless to say, not received yet so have e-mailed but realise won't get reply until maybe later this week? Anyone had any delivery issues with this Company? Should I be getting worried?

The Amazon price totals to £29.98 including delivery. Direct4Games are now pricing them as £19.99 (but currently showing as out of stock), so if you aren't spending over £40, or don't use the credit trick for money off delivery (see post #6), it will cost £29.99 including delivery.

But as has been said in emails some of us have recieved, they will hold the £14.99 price for those who clicked 'source me' when they were at that price. The link for the product at that price will be sent via email apparantly.

All the other things I ordered from them came within a few days with no delivery issues with them for me.

What do you mean by a "fairly large order"?

If you are proposing to ebay then your order has probably pooped:D

I am in two minds about buying one of these to go with the new Argos Xbox purchased last week.

It looks like a good deal even at the Amazon price but when I pick up the Xbox and imagine it in a case, with a screen and power adapter sitting on our 9 year old's lap in the back of the car I can't help but think its just a bit too big, bulky and heavy to see it getting much use on long trips. On top of that concern the pics make the actual screen look quite small relative to the surround, the speakers, and Xbox, etc. So can anyone who has one and used it for a while let me know what they really think please? Is is all too much to fuss with (cables, etc) once the novelty wears off?

As someone who wasn't a gamer until last week but has now purchased two Joytech F1 Xbox steering wheels to play Forza & Project Gotham Racing split-screen with the lad and has spent much of the past week studying Xbox soft-modding, ordered an RGB and optical audio adapter and is now looking at the DVD remote control, I am worried that I may be getting carried away.

    Cheers,

I bought just the TFT screen only option rather than the travel pack (was £9.99 plus same again for delivery). This was a christmas present for my son. It is superb. Clips on the back of the xbox and folds down to give a 'fat laptop' look. The picture quality is superb and the screen size is surprisingly good for playing games on. He now uses this and it frees up the tv for his wife to watch. The screen only option came with a standard 3 pin plug rathan than a car adaptor - which was fine for me as that was what I wanted.

Probably the best bargain I had in 2006! I would highly recommend this as a fab accessory to anyone's Xbox.

It is VERY good but Its not something i'd want on my lap for more than five minutes !!!! it is fairly bulky but then so is the xbox so it needs to protect it. Desk mount me thinks.

Go for the Xecutor 3 modchip + hard drive, piece of cake and lot less messing than the soft, i've done mine and its fab, no more scratched dvd games and the games load 4-5 times as quick ;)

I know what you are going through sounds pretty much like me never thought of owning an xbox until this bargain came along.

I soft modded it and put in a bigger hard drive. The soft mod took me less than 10 minutes and cost around £10.You can pick up a memory card from ebay

THe guy took an offer of £3.49 off me.If you want I can put the game saves on for you as someone kindly did for me ( and send you a copy of the stuff you can then put on) then you need a cheap copy of splinter call cost me £2.79 again of ebay.

I have a component cable and I am now able to view games in High definition.XBMC looks amazing atr 1080i and DVDs are upscaled to HDTV standards.I've got 30 gb of mp3's on the hardrive plus photos you want to see the High definition visualisation playing along to my mp3's awesome.

By the way avforums do a free softmod kit but the list is fairly long I just couldn't wait to get mine done
