I'm in South East on OS7.

Fixing to 2014 is £288 a year more for me, (16%).

I have to decide if prices will increase more than that over the next 3 years. Otherwise fixing for 2012 is about 5% cheaper.

    hmm decisions decisions...............
  • im south east on OS7 (eastbourne) - was changing to Fixed 2014 , but after a chat with the missus and a long read on here - decided that for now 2012 is a good option. that and the council are giving us solar panels as well ;)

Are not all areas within the Midlands the same price then i live in Telford. Had a look on edf website its say $160 per mth for fixed 2012 or $178 for fixed 2014 was paying $170 for std and was just about to start online v10 $141 per mth.

    Headache!!!

  • yes they are the same - i put you down as being on OS10 right now not standard ; changing to FSV2 will save you £200 a year and be fixed , changing to OS10 will save £300 a year , but it can go up (or down)

British Gas are today warning of more big price rises this winter due to green taxes and de-carbonisation.
I'm switching to EDF fixed to 2014.
4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.

All of these foreign companies are having a laugh, literally at our expense.

thanks for your replies just trying to decide between fixed 2012 or 2014! don't want to be fixed until 2014 and prices fall or find in 2012 price has really risen, i guess thats a risk you have to take
