I was not inferring that the person was a thief. They bought this in good faith at the time. However, now that we all know about it, anyone who deliberately attempts to acquire this item for nothing, in my opinion, this seems like theft.0 -

how is it theft when the shop assistant SCANNING the items see's it scans at .00 & lets the customer take it? THAT IS NOT THEFT, the shop assistant has let the customer have the item for free. It's not like they couldn't see on their screen the item scan as .000

This seems like theft to me.
Issyc, you seem like a nice fellow money saver. we both joined this site at roughly the same time, so I've remembered more of your posts; especially when there's online glitches. but your comment has surprised me a bit.
online glitches are a form of 'theft' too, but in the end, if the retailer accepts our orders, then i'm not going to complain. likewise, with this glitch. if you have the receipt and you've walked out the shop, then i'd say that item is yours.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
