I believe HSBC do a basic account that only comes with an ATM card. I know Santander's basic account has an ATM only card too. I hope that helps.

OP can say to LTSB he only wants a Cashpoint card.
Why he would want to do this is anybody 's guess though as with the debit card he could get cashback at supermarkets etc.

The Lloyds one comes with a Visa debit card though, OP wants an account without a debit card

Incorrect you can opt for just a cashpoint card
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

If you go for the Yorkshire Building Society Cash Transactor account, you will be paid a small amount of interest (0.05%) instead of the 0% the banks give you.

    The benefits of mutuality!

I suspect the way the op runs his finances means he wouldn't leave enough in the account to earn 1p a year even at that terrific rate.
  • sorry for the delay guys, so many replies, so it looks like i have lots to check out, many thanks to everyone for their help and replies.

i suppose i need to look into the terms of these accounts to see what fees are charged should i go over my limit. i like the idea of 2 accounts though, have one for money going in and direct debits, the other for spending money only.

im not interested in any interest
