It is not very exciting, but once our finances are on the level I am going to get my hair cut in a real "style" again and have it cut every 6 weeks or so, not at a posh hairdressers, just the local one, but for a long while now I have been unable to justify the expense of regular haircuts so I have been letting the old style grow out and just tying it back every day.Debt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage
) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

Hopefully I'm going to get a full restfull nights sleep:T
Like most others I am going to overpay the mortgage , save up to move but hopefully to a smaller cheaper house and then do it up to how we want it , save up and have a holiday every year and enjoy the spare money we have each month through hard work instead of working bloody hard just to try to survive . Save up regularly , buy better cars and one day hopefully a caravan , sad as it sounds :eek:0 -

Whew--
So, when I get debt free?
I want to save enough up money to be able to live comfortably in Toronto for about 3 months, which hopefully should give me enough time to find a job out there! I think you can get a working permit for about 1 or 2 years.0 -
I will pay for a holiday with cash.
I will start to save for a deposit for a house.Total Debt: £0 [STRIKE]£33,043[/STRIKE]

I have 4 debts left to pay off, of roughly £1.1k, £2.2k, £4.5k and £18-19k, so will be at it for a long time but am planning little treats when each is paid off - so maybe a meal out for the first one, weekend away for 2+3 then saving for a big holiday in USA after its cleared
I'm on a fixed rate mortgage for the full term, so can't really overpay it without charges, but I hope to have enough money put aside to pay anything outstanding off.
Oh yes, and pay for DD to go to uni...0 -
Once debt free I think il have almost a complete overhaul...some new clpthes, tools for work, new tv for in my room etc all to increase standard of day to day living so it will make a massive difference...all that will cost roughly the same as I spend on debts in a month. I currently pay 8,400 a year min payments...hoping to clear it all by the time I'm 21 so just over a year to do it. I'm paying all that on debts while saving 25% net income. So what I spend on debts will go into a different account and after a year it will get me a van and pay insurance plus hopefully have a bit left for tax,mot etc! Got it all planned out just need pay to go up next month like its meant to!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Once I am debt free (which will be in 3 years once my loan ends) i am going to save for an almighty splurge on a rediculously expensive watch (Tag, Rolex etc). Not the most productive of the ideas on here but it will be something i will have saved for and paid off without using credit which i will be reminded of every time i look at it.0
