What will you do when you are debt free?

Afternoon all.

I need a bit of motivation and inspiration at the moment to help with the debt clearing. So out of interest, what will you do when you're debt free and funds allow?

I will:
* go on holiday that I've paid for with cash
* have an emergency amount of money in a bank account that just does not get touched
* start saving for a newer car

I'm sure there's more, I'll add them as I think of them.

The first thing I'm going to do is frame and display my first bank statement that shows NO DEBT outgoings (other then rent/mortgage). Then in no particular order:

    1. Holiday (haven't had one for 5 years)
    2. Stoozing and earning cashback from credit cards (start using the banks instead of letting them use me)
    3. A brand spanking new laptop
    4. A celebratory dinner with the family

OH & I were only talking about this earlier this morning! How weird.
We would go on a couple of holidays, get new wardrobes & then save for moving house & babies!
I am loving the idea of framing the bank statement!!! I will be doing that too now.

Mine will be the to use the next two month's DMP payment to go on a really nice holiday, then start overpaying the mortgage as we have 10 years left and should be able to get that down to 7 with a little hard work

Part of the Furniture I've been Money Tipped!
    - Save all the money I was paying toward my debt for a few months, then boggle at how much it actually is. Then:

    - Get the garden done (hire someone to dig up and take away the overgrown stuff and re-turf the lawn so I can actually spend some time out there instead of firefighting as best I can)

    - Get the house re-painted (it's still in the main proudly wearing the trade magnolia that was here when the ex-OH and I moved in, years ago)

    - New furniture (want to start replacing all the stuff the ex-OH and I bought together)

    - Finally transform the spare bedroom into the study that I've always dreamed of having [STRIKE]instead of the clutter hole it currently is[/STRIKE]
I was cut out to be rich, but got sewn up wrong.
