Parking charge Parking Eye advice needed

I parked on the Whalley Arms carpark paid for my tcket as I drive a convertable I had the top down and placed the ticket wedged in the glove box so it wouldn't blow away . The parking cost was reedemable at the pub where me and my wife enjoyed a drink . Week later I received a notice pay £60 should I ignore, pay up or fight I've no ticket or receipt from the pub to appeal.

Just follow the usual advice and ignore. You don't owe them a penny.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Just send a letter to the landlord of the pub saying that thanks to a contractor acting on their behalf harassing you, you shall no longer be visiting his/her premises and telling your friends & families to do the same. The more complaints they get the more chance of Parking Spy getting the boot.

Just read the sticky threads 'PPC letters, what to expect' which is self explanatory, and 'welcome, please read before posting' which has a fun Watchdog link with Tim Cary, Solicitor, and his paper aeroplane-making skills:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163

Just ignore the scammers from now on, and tell your extended family and friends so no-one falls for this scam in future with any PPC! :)

Basically, only ever take seriously a ticket from the Police, TFL or a Council. Real ones have the word 'penalty' not 'parking charge'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    hello all,
i see that there is a large amount of threads on this topic after reading them all, the advice is just ignore ignore ignore ,but as time passes on laws and rights change and am now wondering what has changed.Like the hundreds of people out there i was caught by said camera enetering and leaving whalley arms carpark,i pulled in the wife got out went to the chippy and then we drove of to spring wood to eat at no point was the car left unattended or did i turn the engine off as the weather was hot airconditioning stayed on,the carpark had 7 cars on (ha ha i think everyone else is avoiding whalley now).I am now in a dilema the wife says pay it ,but after reading all i say no?.I wouldnt mind but during the course of the year we must stick loads of money in that machine for the dentist, hairdressers and even to go around the abbey, what makes me mad, that when there is remaining time on the ticket i dont get a refund and they have my reg,I cant even give someone else the ticket as i do in burnley hospital everytime. We'll see what happens ,but what a shame that a company far away doesnt give a dam about a town putting returning visitors off just because of an error. They say word of mouth is powerful all my family and freinds that use whalley arms carpark have vowed not to use and park up the hill on the way out now ,and that we worked out is over £650 a year.

Civil Law relating to contracts hasn't significantly changed for centuries. Nor is it likely to in the future.

OK, remember, there is no law relating to parking on private land (there is on public land though), so these companies rely almost entirely on civil law relating to contracts. This is unlikely to change significantly going forward.

However, there are dozens and dozens of new threads only a few days/weeks old, and the advice there is exactly the same.
