A bit scared about the bidder on my £250 phone

I may be being paranoid but....

Listed a decent phone on e-bay starting price £250 - about 1 and a half days left with one bidder and one watcher (which I am hoping is a different person).

They have been a member for about a year, have one positive feedback from the start of this month for a low value item.

Looked at the feedback they have left and one is positive From March saying 'please give me until Tuesday to pay for this item' the other is from Feb and is neutral saying 'please do not post the item yet I thought I was buying 4 wheel trims' - very bizarre!

I set my buyer requirements tight (eg.card on file etc) but not sure about someone with such low feedback!

Anything I can do as I can't afford for this sale to go 'wrong'?

Thanks

Are they from this country? All I would suggest is that the item be sent by special delivery since it is of a high value, then you have insurance for it. And make sure you have a note and photographs of the condition of the phone in detail and a photo with the IMEI number in it if you can, plus a separate note of this number.

Not sure what else to suggest. sorry.

Yes from UK - set my buyer requirement to that also.
    I have stated special delivery.
Photographed IMEI number etc and my BF is going to video me showing it working, packaging, driving to PO and getting receipt all in one shot to show it is the same item as I know they can dispute just having the IMEI number! Over the top I know but lost a little faith in e-bay recently.

I know... its not such a great place to sell anymore. Sounds like you are doing all you can, maybe some others will have ideas too... hope it goes ok. :)

Just strange feedback that worries me more than the 1 feedback score as I know everyone has to start somewhere (just not on my item lol).

Clearly he has not been left feedback for the 2 items back in Feb/march and I know when I have had hassle I just don't leave feedback for a buyer because it can only be positive.

You could contact the sellers of the FB he left & ask what happened with the transaction, also check what else he's bid on in the ebay advanced search, or on Goofbay.
If you're unsure you could cancel his bid & put him on your BBL.
Have you seen what you would get for it from any of the phone buying companies?

    Thanks.
I thought about contacting the sellers but it is a while ago so prefer not to bother them.
I feel a bit tight but I have cancelled his bid (didn't realise this could be done once they had bid) and put him on blocked list.
Maximum from the companies is £130 which surprises me as this is the route I usually do go down when getting rid of phones and the phone is going for much more on e-bay.

That's what I thought - it probably won't sell now for me being picky hehe

ebay prices will always beat a phone buying company by a mile. Sell them to me before selling to them.
Hopefully you have ticked the "seller requires instant payment" box, as this weeds out the pay at the end of the month mob.
I've sold phones to plenty of low feedback buyers. If you follow the guidelines in paypal, it's no problem.

Can you not set your preferences to exclude bidders with less than a certain number of FB?

failing that, perhaps you should be prepared to cancel bids if he places any.

4 wheel trims, how odd, and I must admit, kind of amused me. what was the item bid on instead of wheel trims? just curious.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
