Calls to british mobiles in spain

Assuming they are enabled for international roaming, it will cost you the same to call them as if they were in the UK. However they will be charged to receive the calls. You can check the rates on their provider's website.0

You can text them. Free for you and for them.
What network are they on?0 -
The large supermarket chain Carrefour ( http://www.carrefour.es/ ) does PAYG SIMs.
Their site works reasonably well with Google Translate and states "Purchase any of our stores the Carrefour Mobile prepaid SIM for 10 € with 10 € in calls"
You would pay for a call to a Spanish mobile (using one of the low cost call numbers) but as far as I know, for them it would be free.
Obviously the phones would need to be unlocked to take the Spanish SIM. Otherwise just buying a cheap phone in Spain would seem an easy solution.
I've been to Carrefour a few times in tourist areas and as a non Spanish speaker I've found the staff excellent and good at English.0 -
It would be cheaper for example to get a local SIM Card but you could do the following on Pay as you Go (Vodafone Passport)
You of course would pay the standard rate from calling the UK but they would pay 75p to talk for an hour if that is long enough each time?
Again, still would be cheaper for a local SIM - If you both have the Internet in some shape or form can you use Skype?David
£1 of debt is too much for me!0 -
search ebay for spanish sim card, they are forsale cheap on there. Someone is also selling a broadband dongle for spain toDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

How long are they going to be there for? You could take out a 30 day Simplicity contract with O2 & main them the SIM, go for the £10.50 option and add the chosen country spain bolt-on, you'll be spending £15.50 a month and you can call them using any inclusive allowance you've got and it wont cost them anything for receiving the calls.0

Unless they're only there for a couple of weeks, €30 is going to be an awful lot cheaper than the roaming charges they'll rack up.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Theres one on there for £10 with 7 euro credit, thats not too bad. Other option notice same seller has Vodafone mobile broadband working in spain, could use a webcam with a lappy?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
