I am considering buying my mum and da a digital photo frame for christmas.
Has anyone got one? Are they any good or are they a just a gimick?
Do you have any sugestions of good buys?

Haven't got one, they fit into the gimmick category for me.. but PC world are advertising them for £50 (I think!) atm, if you really want one.

There's a stall set up in my local town centre where they're selling digital photo frames. They've got some pretty large ones and I'll be honest they do look fantastic. I wouldn't buy one though as they run off the mains and I'd like to hang my photo on the wall. A trailing wire would spoil the aesthetics.0

Did a bit of digging on the Aldi one as we're looking for one for a present.
http://www.mymediacards.co.uk/ is the support page for it. The resolution appears to be ok at 640 x 480, however one downside is the lack of battery backup so it needs to be located near a power source at all times.
It also has limited times between transitions only allowing upto 10 seconds per picture. We're still undecided.
