Sorry! It looked like they did. They had cases with the console picture on the front saying to take them to the counter.

billy1 - I got mine from game in St Georges, ring them first thing tomorrow and they'll let you know if they have any. They had 8 today and I got there about 10am and managed to grab one. Also keep checking with Woolworths, they can't have those cases for nothing!

None at Woolies Wakefield. Assistant (who sounded about 12) said he didn't think they'd have any more in this week.

I'm over in Bradford so its quite a trek to get over to Preston etc - I'd want to guarentee I'd get one before starting the journey.

we would love to say a big thank you to everyone on this thread. After reading on here that there were a few Wii's coming into stores we gave Game in Northampton a try this morning. Manager said they should be having 3 in and he would ring us if they came. Half hour later he rang and said he would hold it if we could get there within an hour. My wife almost ran and was there in 10 mins. We now have a Wii for christmas. So a big thanks and even bigger one for the manager at the Northampton Game store. :T

I'm afraid they do have those cases in Woolworths for nothing. I grabbed one on the day of release and waited in an enormous queue only to be told that "we don't actually have any but you can put your name down on this massive list".

I wish they'd be honest and actually have signs up saying they don't have any. As it is - Woolworths will be the last place I buy one once they start appearing in numbers.

Well i went in woolworths inside the white rose shopping centre, Leeds this afternoon and to my delight there were 6 wii CD cases on the shelves saying "take this to the counter to get your new wii console for £179!!!" so like the big child i am i grabbed one and ran to the counter lol

At the electrical counter i find some sweaty balding chubby gentlemen, i handed him the case as he chuckled and replied "we dont have any" my face instantly went ---> :mad:

ME: why are the cases on the self then?

FAT GIMP: because we cant keep taking them on and off the shelf depending on when we get stock"

ME: when are you next getting stock?

FAT GIMP: After christmas.

ME: SO TAKE THEM OFF THE ****ING SHELF UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS!!! :mad: :rolleyes: Can i see the manager?

At that point fat gimp trotts off to get the manager, wasnt happy!

I'm sure they could put them on the shelf as and when they get them in - it's hardly rocket science. You'd think it would be less hassel than having upset people thinking they had there hands on them.

Hope those who are still looking manage to grab one, my advice is ringing Game first thing in the morning - and all the staff I spoke to in all 3 in Preston were lovely and really helpful - apart from not allowing me to reserve one!
