Many thanks for this, I saw it this morming and got one ordered at about 7.50am.
Opted for free delivery and then changed it to first class - estimated delivery 19/20 dec.
DD is very happy she wants it for her BF.0 -
I think I might have made a pigs ear of this. Earlier in the week my wife had added several toys to my Amazon basket. In a rush this morning I added the wii and paid for the lot. Checked my order tonight and the toys are putting a spanner in the works, delivery due mid Jan. The wii is listed separately under the list of toys that 'are not ready for despatch' and is in a box that states 'ready for despatch soon' which in itself is promising.
However the estimated delivery date is still mid Jan. Anyone else in this boat or have experience of what is likely to happen? Should I simply cancel all the toys as I guess they will just be an uneccessary expense in the financial dark time that is January? Will this free up the wii for pre-Christmas delivery?
All help appreciated.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0 -
Be very carefull..
Another poster here managed to get hold of a Wii with Amazon during a mid afternoon scramble about a week ago. After bagging a Wii they changed the delivery to 'next day' instead of first class.
Apparently this had the affect of dropping the order on their system then trying to reallocate it with the new delivery method. Unfortunatley in the seconds that passed the thousands of other people got a Wii first and his delivery date got pushed out to 2007.
I would call Amazon and get them to walk it through with you.0 -

Just tracked mine with City link and it's OUT FOR DELIVERY! Can't imagine it being delivered today as I thought Saturday courier delivery is normally extra? I did pay for express, so who knows? Genuinely can't believe I'm getting one!!!0

There is a way of deleting toys, or changing the delivery- but my sister has done this for me in the past!! Do Amazon not have a number you can ring?paul.carter wrote:I think I might have made a pigs ear of this. Earlier in the week my wife had added several toys to my Amazon basket. If you go to any help page, on the left is a contact us box - halfway down is a button you click on and put your phone number in - if there are staff available they ring you back straight away0
