You mustn't sign for damaged goods. If you signed the driver's form "received in good condition" you are snookered. Most people don't realise what they are signing. Here's a tip for anyone ordering good by mail:Jacqueline1949 wrote:Goods arrived on Monday but the PC tower was damaged.
DON'T sign for anything without opening it up and inspecting it. If the driver wants a signature, he'll have to wait. His delivery schedule is NOT your problem. If you sign for damaged goods, THAT'S your problem.0 -
Hi
Thanks I know I should have checked goods but I ordered 5 items and I don't think the driver would have been too happy if I had asked him to wait while I checked them all. I complained the day the goods arrived the same afternoon in fact. We learn by our mistakes. Received an e-mail from Aria with special offers and I replied this morning saying what about my tower never mind special offers. Followed this one up about ten minutes ago but so far no answer. Hopefully somebody will get back to me soon. Everythings fine when goods arrive perfect.

I think you can get round that by writing 'Goods not checked' or something like that on the docket. But I would have thought that any company with decent customer service would exchange without fuss.Charlie0
