Flexible new deal was the mandatory course before the work programme. FND is now finishing.

A provider is a company that the job centre pays to help you get back to work (and now, apart from a small initial payment, they only get paid when you are employed). Basically they do the jobcentre work for them for free in the hope that if they can get you into work then they will pick up a payment for doing so. A4e is probably the best known provider.
they would do better spending £ to support people who are really trying to get a job who cant afford the travel
  • Its another half wit idea by goverment, we need decent paying jobs and the economic enviroment is totally knackered, the dreamers out there saying people are going to moan about this are dead right. As who in their right mind is going tobe happy working along side an employee who has holiday pay, share options sick pay etc etc while you have nothing.People sitting comfy in nice jobs preaching to others down on their luck make me sick.By the way i worked for 32 yrs so know something about working,.but also more about life, and that you cant live on rice grains anyone who thinks you can try it first.

Community service punishment is a better deal than this.
