You should cancel the DD and phone/e-mail the magazine. If you don't contact them, there is a chance that they could still send the magazine and then chase you for the money.

I e-mailed them from within the subscription area saying that I'd tried Glamour and found it a little too young for me. However, I realised that I signed up for six months and didn't want a refund. They offered me the chance to swap my remaining subscription to another magazoine, so I'll be getting Easy Living for the last two months.

Their e-mail is [EMAIL="condenast@subscription.co.uk"]condenast@subscription.co.uk[/EMAIL] - quote your subscription reference number in the subject of your e-mail and that you want to cancel your subscription e.g. 'Cancellation of Subscription - Ref nnnn'.

I said in the e-mail:

Hi

I would like to cancel my subscription for Glamour magazine please.

I decided to give Glamour magazine another chance but, after two issues, I have decided that it's not the magazine for me - it's a bit young for me, to be honest, and I can't really relate to many of the issues that people writing articles discuss.

I phoned up to ask where the perfume was as its been weeks since i took this offer up, recieved my first magazine. She said there was no stock left of the perfume so had the choice of a simple face care set or a nail set, I told her i werent happy as the reason for me subscribing was because of the perfume so i cancelled the direct debit and cancelled with her. She did say that soon as you cancel your direct debit they get notified anyway. I thought if i did i would not get the gift then but she said as i had paid for 6 issues at 6 pound i was entitled to the gift. However not happy as i did this for the perfume. Never mind you win some, you lose some!

I am sorry to read you are disappointed with the magazine. Unfortunately as you paid via a discounted offer, this discount cannot be transferred over to another magazine. You have £4.00 which covers 4 issues of Glamour which would equate to 2 issues of Easy Living.

Does anyone have a phone number for the cancellation? I have tried emailing them but it keeps getting returned! I cancelled ages ago but they have taken money out of my account? xxx
