  • LPG gas bottles are a very expensive way to heat your home.....presumably these bottles are in portable gas fires?

If you've already got a LPG boiler and radiators then you could consider buying in bulk with a gas tank in the garden.

Get a few quotes from the various gas companies - they'll usually install a tank for free but you'll have to go on a fixed contract. But it's still an expensive way of heating the house and you'll need room in the garden for the tank.

If there's no other central heating or boiler in the house then it's going to get expensive whatever you choose.

Mains gas will probably be the cheapest if you can get a supply connected. You'll pay for the connection, new boiler and radiators if needed.

Oil will be expensive to install and run - and if you're installing a new system you're better off looking at solar or air/ground source heat pumps, possibly with a wood burner.

They will also be expensive to install but you may qualify for a grant and at least you'll be able to control heating costs once they're in.

You need to give a bit more info about the house and present heating system to get more advice
