Returning a phone to mobileshop.com - faulty
Was hoping if anyone could enlighten me to a few facts before I contact them.
I purchased the phone from http://www.mobileshop.com in March 2006. My phone is the Samsung d600 and more often than not, whenever I slide my phone up or down, the phone switches itself off instantly (not even the closing down tone etc).
Now I was given 3 months free insurance when I purchased the phone but cancelled it immediately after the 3 months were up. Would my fault/damage to the phone still be currently covered under the warranty? I assume yes.
So I intend to contact them about getting the fault in my phone corrected under the warranty - I'm I entitled to do so?
Another sticky point - I have since lost my invoice and documentation when I purchased my phone - also deleted my order email etc. However I still have my credit card account which shows the payment being extracted from my account and the date. Would this suffice along with my warranty details??
Any advice would be much appreciated. :A

When I wanted to return my faulty motorola v220 I contacted mobileshop about it and was told to send the phone to the manufacturers as that way it would be quicker. If you send it to Mobileshop they will just forward it to the manufacturers themselves. In the end I did send it to motorola and was told that the problems was caused by liquid damage(despite my phone being only a couple of weeks old and had never even been in a damp atmosphere) and so was not covered under their warranty.
This might be the best way for you as well but call mobileshop first because they might be able to re-send details of your order if you explain your situation to them and you will probably need to prove to samsung that your phone is less than a year old.0 -
It took about a week. If they actually tried to fix it then it would have obviously taken longer. Make sure you keep harassing by phone whoever you send your mobile to so that if they are lagging it gives them a kick up the backside.0
