That is nothing to do with anything, as I am using wireless from the business next door (with their permission!)0 -
You followed this?
If Not go to Outlook and click Files Account Settings and double click on the account you want to edit on Outlook 2010 and check the SMTP is set up exactly like what it shows in step 7, 8, 9 and 100 -

Thanks - I have gone through everything and changed those things and I think it worked - I have had to leave now, but before I went sent an email to my email address here but the email hasnt arrived. It also didnt work when I sent one to myself  I dont know what is wrong wit the stupid thing!0 -
I had a similar problem with my home PC yesterday after I upgraded from Outlook 2003 to 2007, I could receive emails but not send them, although the Test Account Settings process came up OK. I changed the port number of the outgoing mail server to 587 and changed the encryption method to TLS as recommended by Gmail and but that in itself didn't do the trick. In the end I fixed it by running the repair facility from the Office 2007 installation CD, it took about 15-20 minutes but it's all running well again now. Might be of some help?0

Do you 'Have' to use outlook? I only ask as while setting up DD an outloock email account on our old desktop, realised that outlook 2002 wouldnt work any more and used Mozzilla's Thunderbird instead - talk about simple setup, put in teh email address that I wanted to set up and it went and did some IT Magic and came back fully setup and running in about 5 seconds... Wish I hadnt spent 3 hrs trying to get outlook to work first!0

If the email has left your Outbox and gone into Sent Items then Outlook has done its job. If your smtp settings were incorrect it wouldn't be able to communicate with the server, authenticate and 'send'. So.... if it's gone from Outlook i'd say the issue is on the 1and1 end, possibly a mail setting there is incorrect0
