USwitch incorrect calculations for Scottish Power

Hi markhod,
Jalexa is right - the difference in the unit rates is because we include the VAT and the energy suppliers tend to add it on after. (7.343 + 5% VAT = 7.71)
Hope this clears things up!

(Sorry, Bye Bye, may I quickly hijack the uSwitch rep and tell them to please PUT THE CURRENT TARIFF PRICES back in their quotes - it is impossible for people to double-check you are using the correct figures when these are not presented.)
Just wanted to warn people that it would seem Uswitch STILL are not getting their prices right!
USwitch have my plan at
Day rate - 16.828p up to 900Kwh
11.11p above
Night rate - 5.31p
But the ACTUAL CURRENT PRICE is
Day rate - 21.464p up to 900Kwh
11.118p above
Night rate - 5.39p
Basically they haven't updated these prices to account for the price hike August 1st 2011. This means for the last 4 months i've been checking uSwitch each month and, smugly, believing that my current tariff is £30 cheaper a year than the next best!
I have spoken to customer services and they seemed very surprised that this could happen but, judging from the previous posts, there may be many more inaccuracies just waiting to be discovered...
In case anyone cares, it's the Scottish Power Discounted to March 2012 Electricity only plan for the Brighton area.
My advice, double check any units costs they give you but, then again, isn't that supposed to be the point of price comparison websites??0
