Upcoming Wow Factor Launch

Hi everyone,

You'll be pleased to know we're launching the "Wow Factor" in the next few weeks.

What's WOW! Factor?

Once launched you'll see a new WOW! Factor column on the right hand side of some forum boards such as Grabbit, Shop But Don't Drop, etc.

In that column you'll see each thread gets a WOW! Factor image with number. Essentially the higher the number and the darker the colour the more popular the thread is.

For the self-proclaimed geeks who like technical detail, the description from our techies is "it's a measure of the number of thanks a thread has received compared to other threads in the same forum, where new thanks are weighted higher than old ones."

As part of our testing the WOW factor we'll be taking Likeability down later today but it'll eventually be replaced with WOW – watch this space!

It's kind of interesting that at the time of writing only 200 people have viewed this thread in a month yet 700+ people read the thread about deleting their account

Is this ever going to happen? I'm missing out on quite a lot in the competition section where I used to sort by likeability - It's nearly 5 weeks since Likeability was removed.

Yes it is, the techies need some time to make it work though and other work's come up in the meantime that's taken their time away from that.

We needed likeability to come down in order to do it though, so it couldn't be helped.

Hopefully it won't be much longer.

Any sign yet? Like a lot of people, if I'm behind with comps I try to do the likeability view ones if nothing else. Seems to be taking forever to get sorted?
