  • I too bought a Groupon for five calendars, intending to use them for Christmas presents, but was too busy to do the order until last week (which was probably just as well...).

I was pretty apprehensive after reading literally dozens of horror stories online. But I must say that in the end I'm really happy, and all too aware that it's usually only the dissatisfied customers that post!

My order arrived in less than a week. Very happy with the quality. Slightly underpackaged (all five calendars together). I was happy with the order process too (website) - preview image a bit small but browser zoom worked. A real plus (compared with some other photo websites) was that the print area in the preview turned out to be extremely accurate. I was also cursing myself that I'd left it till the start of February to order calendars, but was delighted then to find I could opt for a calendar start date of January 2013 (all the more ironic that they came so quickly!). Ready for Christmas 2012...

I'm left with the impression that this is a reputable and decent-quality company who unfortunately mishandled the huge level of pre-Christmas orders their Groupon offer created - not only disappointing time-sensitive customers but handling their complaints appallingly. Things certainly seem much better now.

I had no need for, and therefore cannot vouch for, what happens now if one needs to contact the company or make a complaint. I also made minimal use of any available order extras or extra tweaks on the website so can't tell you how well they would have worked (I edited and cropped my photos before uploading them and didn't want any borders, text etc.). As others have pointed out, the website automatically takes you to the correct calendar but doesn't preset the quantity to five, so you do have to be careful (this could be improved by alerting the customer when they put the voucher code in - or by pointing it out on the voucher itself).

The main other thing that may well be the case is that although my calendars are lovely this company's photobooks may still be rubbish - there were lots of people complaining about the quality of photobooks as well as the very slow service and the appalling customer relations before Christmas. But if it's calendars you want, you'll hopefully have as good an experience and as satisfactory a result as me.
  • Wow, I had no idea there would already be 5 pages of people saying the same thing as I want to! I also ordered the Groupon thing in summer of 2011, and made up a wedding album for myself (finally). I spent a long time creating it as it was obviously something very special. I was proud of myself for getting such a bargain! I had used Photobox for making albums for my family members and they came out great so I was hopeful about this.

    What a joke!

"Leather" book did not look anything like I expected (not plush or puffy at all, just thinly bound to the tiny book). The colours were RIDICULOUS. My bouquet was of orange gerberas, and they made them look FLORESCENT. The green of the trees was also like a highlighter colour. Not to mention how washed out everything was! I looked like a ghost, so did the members of my wedding party. Absolutely awful.

When I emailed customer services to complain, would you believe they asked me to TAKE PHOTOS of the book and email them in to them?!!! How silly is that?! But I did it, and they never responded. That was back in September. I emailed them again a month later and no response. I emailed them ten days ago and said that if they didn't reply in 7 business days, I would start bashing them on the internet.

    Which brings me here!

I did complain to Groupon back when the book arrived, and they apologised but that was it.

Groupon really is quite shameless. They couldn't give a monkeys about the rubbish firms and products they often promote. I was caught out with the Nellypot debacle where the website wasn't even compliant with web trading legislation. Where is the due diligence?
  • I too have not a good experience with printerpix. I emailed this company twice (1st beginning of January) in relation to a groupon purchase and despite an automated mail to say they are dealing with my request I have heard nothing. I have decided after reading everything here that I won't bother with the canvas I had purchased and have learnt a lesson which says investigate all offers before buying through Groupon (also had a rubbish carpet clean!)
  • Got a groupon voucher (£8):j for a photobook, easy to follow instructions to make the photo book on Printerpix, ordered it on a Wednesday evening and recieved it 3 days later!! Fantastic product, very professional finish and super fast service. Would recommend. I paid a little extra for luxury paper and photo enhancement but the end result was worth it, am very very pleased.:)

The one I got was a naff kind of thick black cover, really not professional. When you turned the pages the spine kind of folded (like a new book when you open it).

The print quality was ok, but only because the photos were ok to start with.

I certainly would not have been happy with spending £30 plus on mine. Even with a groupon voucher I didn't think it was worth £12 including postage.

Maybe they have changed the item since last year due to all the complaints.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Hi everyone

A voucher came up on Groupon on the 23rd February for a 20x20 photobook for £8 or 3 for £17. My husband and I are newly married so when this offer came up, I thought they'd be a great idea for my mum and mother in law, so ordered 3 for £17.

I spent quite a number of hours uploading, designing and titivating the album to how I wanted it, then sat back very pleased with what I'd done. Later that evening i scoured the internet and stumbled across reviews on Printerpix and have to say was a little concerned. There were many reviews saying the photo's were poor quality, the photobooks never arrived etc etc, couldn't find more than a couple of good ones!! I was really looking forward to receiving the finished albums, kept my fingers crossed and hoped i wouldn't be disappointed.

Well.....today (29th February) only 6 days from ordering my photobooks, they have arrived. We are thrilled :D :)The photographs are lovely, crystal clear and exactly what I ordered and I can't wait to pass them on my mums :)

Well done Printerpix for surprising me, you have made a fantastic job of my photobooks :D I would recommend you and definitely use Printerpix again, so thank you so so much :D

I bought a number of Groupon vouchers for albums from Printerpix to make albums for my wedding guests and make an album of my honeymoon. Unfortunately the albums are appalling. They sent my honeymoon album to someone else and have taken one month to "reprint" it. I am still yet to receive it, having ordered it in June!!!! The other albums are appalling. i received one today which is missing the front 2 pages and all the other pages are falling out due to not being glued properly!
I have rang customer services countless times now and no one really cares!!!!
I seriously regret having ever bought these Groupon vouchers! Such a waste of my money.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!
