Think we've got a redcurrant plant in the garden? What else could it be?

Hi,
There are a couple of plants in the garden that we are not 100% sure of.
I will try and post some photos later if I can. There is a tree in the corner which has small green growths on - like mini butternut squashes - but green and only and inch long, growing directly off the branches. Very odd. Will post more on this later.
Redcurrant?: They're red and they look like redcurrants. They have fan shaped leaves. What else could it be? Don't want to eat any if it could be something else!

There are other plants it could be - always double check with red berries. Look forward the the photo later. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Triple check with ALL berries.
This may help a bit with wild berries.

The green mini squashes are probably figs - Ficus carica.
Check online what redcurrant leaves look like first before eating any.0 -

Thanks - ok photos coming up in next minute or so.
I think it is a fig tree!

Ihave more photos - e.g. of leaves, in addition to those posted if it will make it easier to identify.0 -

Description
First image is of the potential fig.
Second are the red berries that I suspect to be redcurrants.
The third image is of the leaves of the plant containing red berries.
The fourth image is of green berries which are on a plant next to the red berry plant. The leaves of the plant with green berries are similar to those of the red berry plant but a slightly darker.0 -
1) Fig
2&3) Redcurrant
4) White currant (will turn transparent yellow/white) or blackcurrant (will go dark purple/black.)Val.0 -
First - fig
Second & third - red currant
Fourth - maybe black currant? They come a bit later than red (well, in my garden), and berries are usually slightly bigger, going red-purple first and then black (from what I remember, none this year!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Fourth one definitely looks like my blackcurrant at the moment, 2 and 3 are the same as my redcurrant. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I'd say redcurrants and blackcurrants - they differ in that redcurrants tend to have berries in bunches a bit like grapes so you can pick off a whole bunch and then sit to strip them from the stalk, whereas blackcurrants tend to be on individual stems from the main stalk so you have to pick them one by one. From what I can tell white currants tend to be more like red currants and so I think your other ones are unripe blackcurrants (black and red tend to be more common anyway)Adventure before Dementia!0

Thanks everyone. Is there anything else that comes close to these that they might be confused for?0
