Getting money back from TalkTalk?

Hi,
Just after a wee bit of advice to see if there is anything else I can do to reclaim the money that TalkTalk took from my bank account after I cancelled my service and moved to another provider? I didn't think to cancel the direct debit until I realised that three further monthly charges had been taken after the MAC code request date, and thus am out of pocket by around £52 if my calculations are correct.
After a couple of weeks of complaining I received an email stating that they were creating a credit note (around a month ago now) and that the money would be returned to me via my chosen method (which I took to be the bank account they'd taken it out of in the first place) after that. However, it's now a month later and no sign of the refund. I will be phoning customer services (again) about this as soon as I can get to a phone without my toddler, but just wondered if there are any other steps I can take to recover my money from the company, as I honestly don't hold out much hope of them paying up after all this hassle through normal channels.
Thanks for reading, tried to make it short.

Just keep chasing them.
It took me 3 months to get a refund when I left-pretty much par for the course with TT I'm afraid.
Try messaging them through your online account, if it is still operative. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Hi Ady,
Thanks for your response. I do have an account number, but it is not a ten digit one as it is a business account number (previous nildram transfer), thus my registration on the members forum has not been accepted as valid. Is there a way of registering with this account number at all?
Regards,

I too am having issues getting a refund for monies taken after my account closed. I have repeatedly contacted customer services by email and phone to be lied to every time. Not only can I not reclaim my monies but the cost of contacting them is begining to total more than is owed.
I left talk talk due to frustrations with thier services, both techinal and customer support only to be left frustrated yet again.
Is there any other way to claim monies and compensation for time expense and energy wasted on this awful company?0 -
I wish there was a way!
I am still trying to cancel an order for the last 4 months and still getting bills and letters from a debt collection agency
even though Talk Talk were unable to provide me with any service
The last time I actually managed to get through to their what they call "customer services" and explained all the problems I have had and still having and that I told them they are the most awful company I have come across in 40 years in business they asked me at the end of the phone call if I could recommend any of my friends or relatives for Talk Talk????????????I just could not believe it.0 -
hi vikates & matt2222,
If you Contact Us via either Twitter @TalkTalkCare or via the TalkTalk Members forum we can investigate into your requests.
@Tippytoes - As we cannot provide support via the MSE site (Company Reps cannot use PM's so we have no facility whereby we can identify or complete secuirty for account access) the most efficient method for us to provide support is as advised above.
Regards
Mark
