My eBay address is my parents address, my paypal is my actual address. I pay with paypal which tells the seller where I live and where I want my item sent to. Any item which ended up 50 miles away in my opinion would be 'not received' as I would not be paying postage for it to get to me or waiting weeks or months to get my mits on it. Do you think I am being unreasonable? It's not happened, just a thought which occurred to me whilst reading this:)

At least one of my sons has an out of date uni address on ebay that due to a glitch he never bothered changing, his paypal address though show the correct address and that is where the stuff is expected to be sent.

The ebay address glitch where addresses will not stay changed was a real problem last year, and I don't know whether it has been sorted yet. However I don't recall ever bothering to look at an ebay address as virtually all my buyers use paypal and I therefore need paypal seller protection.

Then why have conflicting addresses in the first place?

It will probably be the sellers fault, as usual.

This is madness. So someone buys your item on ebay and you post to their address on ebay - but your not covered and the buyer is angry you posted it there?

The address of the payment should be irrelevant. None of my family have credit cards, and are always using mine online - but the goods still go to their address.

The fact that ebay and paypal are the same company in this case - means they should insist the addresses are the same OR make sure the buyer indicates which address to use on checkout.

As i said - i've never even checked the paypal address - so i've been lucky i've had no problems.
