you always hear about people writing or phoning to complain about service or employee issues but how many of you actually get in contact in a more positive way ?

i work with the public so any praise is a real moral boost and even makes you want to do even better believe it or not

when we get letters of praise, they always go on the staff notice board so everyone can be encouraged by it

ive just filled in an online form for a member of staff at my bank who very kindly took time out of her lunch break to help me with a query i had

if ive had a very good experiences anywhere, be it in a shop or restaurant i always get in touch to let them know they are doing a good job

its all good letting us on this board know about it but lets let the actual people involved know about it as well :)

Anybody who praises a company or pipes up in defence of one usually gets accused of being one of their employees. It puts you off ever bothering to post anything nice again.

Human nature I suppose that people will go to the trouble of shouting about bad customer service but not the other way round.

That said I don't think good someone giving good customer service deserves to have praise heaped upon them, this should simply be considered part of the course in the customer service industry.

When working at sainsburys we had a noticeboard with any letters received praising our staff, they all seemed to be from older people going by the handwriting,

Okay then. I dont work at Slug and Lettuce, went there on Sunday and Monday (half price food on a Mondy :jnight) (in Newcastle upon Tyne) lovely food, the best bit though is the staff, warm,
friendly, cant do enough to make you feel good. Brilliant young lad there called Josh who was smashing. I also left feedback on one of the forms on the table.

Slug and Lettuce Leeds, just the same.

I always give feedback on line, negative or positive.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

If i have exceptional cs- them I do compliment. Same as I would log a complaint for terrible service.

Last exceptional service was from a young saes assistant in next. Worst was from a Morrisons manager.

Was in a panic about a parcel arriving in time during all the snow last year. Sent and e-mail praise to the local postal depot after it arrived in time.

I always comment if I receive exceptional customer service. Its only fair as I will complain when I get very bad service.

I agree. My action is the other way round. I wrote a Thank You card to Halfords Hemel because of the excellent service I received. Here I say well done on this forum too :T
