Ive bought stuff in the past from empire no problems but I do have the advantage they have 2 stores in Bolton so I just go in and buy stuff. I would say 99% you have got it, I ordered it at 11.01am and I actually thought i had it until I read this thread. However I did notice something misleading, whilst I was contemplaiting buying it i put it in my basket and noticed it said it came with a 3 year warranty, this swung it for me so I bought it but when I actually read the warranty terms it does not cover clearance stuff so it does not have a 3 year warranty as described.

Does anybody know how often they put items on clearance? I'm saving up for a camcorder and think I may get more for my money here!

After reading the posts on here, I had a bit of a fret over stock levels and so rang EmpireDirect to see if my order had actually gone through. The customer services advisor said that they go through the clearance stock orders every 2 hours or so and update the website, so I would be getting a call back within the next 2 hours to confirm if my order was sucsessul.

30 mins later the same customer services advisor rang me back to assure me that my order was indeed sucsessful!

My lovely camera arrived in the new year, for a bargain price of £60!
