Difficult Delivery Firms

I have just had a sign made which I am going to screw to the front gate. It says:-
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Remember who pays
the P&P charges.
Remember who pays
the P&P charges.
So the next time I get grief from a bad tempered delivery person I will point to my sign. If I Don't happen to be in during the 12 hour period they say they might deliver my goods then I know they will have something to read.
I have also decided to include any bad service in any vanity feedback a supplier asks for. I already told one firm I won't order from them again due to bad tempered delivery person who said he wouldn't leave the goods if I didn't get in from the garden quickly enough. I left him a chalk board telling him where I was.
In my view, if suppliers wish to employ dysfuntional firms to conduct deliveries then they should take the consequences.
There, I fell better now.

It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Whilst I am no great fan of delivery companies, that is plain rude. If I was a delivery person and saw that sign, I'd throw the parcel at you and make sure that next time you are last on my route.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Perhaps you'll feel like being less of a pain when your parcels arrive late and slightly flattened with a large boot print on them.:cool:0 -

I agree, a lot of delivery people are miserable wotsits. But I just ignore it and sign for my parcel.
As long as I receive my goods and everythings ok, I couldn't care less otherwise.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -

I forgot to mention that the above happens now and that's without a sign on the gate. It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.0 -

Yodel a new bad kid on the block? order printer inks on Wed delivered on Fri, good so far but the driver has not left with a neighbour as requested but in a safe place. Trouble is writing 4 lines/marks on a card does not explain where it is.
Spent weekend knocking on doors in the road, nothing.
Phone Monday 0871 numbers 10p a minute. Get back within 24 hours . . . nothing, Tuesday; Phone again, looking into the matter. Thursday . . .
"your parcel was delivered by our internal company here is an 0871 number to call" errr . . . no mention of that on the card and so it is going on . . . the people in the call centre are rude, they are off hand, they did not explain there were 2 companies and they are just not taking responsabilty for their drivers.
SAY NO TO YODEL
A week later still no sign of my printer inks. They were not that cheaper over the internet and add together the 0871 calls and they are more expensive. Never again YODEL0 -
