Suggestion re. deleted posts

Would it be possible to insert a line where a post has been deleted by the originator, stating their username and that a post by them has been deleted?

Today I have been taken to task for quoting part of someone's post "out of context" - however they have now deleted their original post so I cannot prove that the part I quoted was a separate issue from the rest of their post. Naturally by deleting it they pretty much discredit their "out of context" argument, but it is annoying all the same.

If it was visible that they have, indeed, deleted a post, no further comment would be needed clarifying the situation.
:D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

    Something along the lines of:

[This post has been deleted by Outpost]

I can see instances where it could be useful but I wonder how often? Could be tricky to implement as well although I'm no computer programmer! :D
