  • I'm new to this cashback idea! Just been reading the guide on here, and it looks intruiging. I quite like the idea of the Quidco iphone app, but wondered if anyone's used it yet and what they think of it. Also, has anyone registered their cc or dc with Quidco and is it quite safe? thanks

Used the iPhone app since it launched - have earned around £10 from checking in at various shops, Really easy to use and any cashback you earn from checking in is confirmed and payable instantly.

    Good morning,

@Sarahf. We can certainly look at that for you if you contact the Quidcare Team, via the contact form on our help page. The question you need is Why hasn't my cashback claim updated to confirmed yet?

@madcal87. It can take a few months for claims to be processed by retailers. The Quidcare Team will take a look at this for you, though, if you also contact them using the question I’ve pasted above.

@thetoothfairy – The feedback we’ve had about the iPhone app has been fantastic but I don’t have an iPhone myself so hopefully more customers on here will respond with their own experiences. As regards In Store Cashback, your card details are very secure. Also you actually only register the card number and no other details. At the moment, cashback for In Store purchases does take several months and it’s slower to track in the first place but provided you haven’t returned the goods it’s unlikely ever to be declined.

@techspec – Our Sales Director is meeting with AA and their affiliate network at the end of this week to get all of these issues resolved. As always, we are doing our very best to help customers affected by this issue.

@MorrisonsEmployee – thanks for the feedback! That’s great.

    Kind regards,

    Jules

  • Hi There , we are all on here to save money so please all look at what Martin had to say in his email out to us today.

Rule 1. Never pay to join a cashback site. Some sites charge you to join. Don't do it: they're meant to give YOU money. The best sites are free and give you 100% of the amount earned from your transaction (they get the bonuses for volume or take, say, the first £5 you earn each year for admin.

Looks like the end of Quidco on MSE

@Somerset – Again, if you wish to raise a formal complaint about this it will be looked at. That does seem a long time to wait

The formal complaint becomes an enquiry.
You've come through to the department for formal complaints to the Quidco Executive. As I can see from your message that you have a query at this stage, I will re-direct this to the Quidcare Team. They report to me and they are trained to deal with just such queries

The enquiry thence becomes a standard cut'n'paste nothing.
I'm sorry to tell you that there is a delay with your cashback from totesport due to their affiliate network being behind with their processing, but we are doing all we can to hurry this along for you.

Please leave this with us and we will obtain your cashback for you as quickly as possible. I do apologise for any inconvenience and concern that this is causing

For all those people in the non-marketing world, do you see how easy it is to deal with complaints ?
    - First you re-define the complaint thus there is no complaint.
    - Then you apologise and say a) it's someone else's fault and b) you are ''doing all you can''.

Truth is, I know Quidco do nothing. Except fire-fight the complaints.

Edit : the transaction in question is a year old next month. Also I don't use Quidco any more (too unreliable) I switched to TCB.

Edit2 : I really don't care about this transaction - it's small - it's the lack of honesty by the Rep that irks me. I've been reading the same complaints, non-payment, non-tracking, conflicting cookie's garbage for over a year now. Quidco used to be a great site but it ain't any more. Any new users - beware.
  • This is what I fear most, as I said, things going from weeks, to months then being counted in years. That is unacceptable.

I recently showed on here 3 transactions with claims, which I was told were confirmed and awaiting payment. They are 6 months old now. Now your post has made me realize the futility of logging in each day in vain hope to see if any have been paid. I now see, without being over-pessimistic, that if I didn't log in again to my Quidco until Christmas I would still not be seeing them paid.

In the meantime, the trivial payments of 50p-£3 continue to be confirmed reliably...........!!!!

    Good morning,
@Somerset – I am not dishonest and I object very strongly on a personal level to your accusation. I’m sorry if your complaint was passed to the wrong area but we find that many customers use the complaints area to ask general questions, make a query etc. and these are passed on to the Quidcare Team initially as we do have to have an escalation process.

Also, when looking at tickets in the complaints queue as they come in, I always look to see if previous tickets have been raised by the customer about the issue and whether the Quidcare Team has already answered or not. If they haven’t they are passed to the Quidcare Team initially. If the Quidcare Team has responded previously I respond to the complaint myself. I’ve found a recent complaint about Totesport, and if this is yours this was the first ticket you had raised with us about any retailer since last year.

In support of this, the part that you missed when quoting my message was a follows:

“Of course, once you've had a response from them, if you are not happy with the service you've had from them or if you feel there is anything I need to know about, please do feel free to come back to me to raise a formal complaint. However, I would be grateful if you could give them a chance to help you first.”

When I ask a customer on a forum to go through the formal complaint process (I used to advise them of my email address but, again, I found that my inbox was full of emails from customers with non-complaint type queries) we do try to identify them as they come in but as your Quidco username is nothing like the name you use on here, and there was no also no reference to this forum within the ticket, I was unable to identify you. I will respond personally to your complaint today though.

@ margf – I’m afraid that npower does have a delay and I’m sorry you’re having to wait, but we are chasing this up. When we respond to you, it’s always after checking with the payments team to see if there is a payment scheduled from a particular retailer.

    Kind regards,

    Jules

  • I am another very disgruntled Quidco user. I have been a user for years but recently have not been paid as stated.

I took out AA Car Insurance in June 2011. It tracked for some reason as AA UK Breakdown and was declined. I raised a dispute and it changed to Claim Raised on 3 August 2011. I have been in regular contact answering all the details required but now it has gone into the 'black hole'.

If the Quidco rep can offer any explanation my Quidco username is ericakendrick

    Thank you.

Hi, I took out the t mobile deal with £80 cashback at the end of June. My cashback didn't track so I raised a claim on the 1st July and have heard nothing since. Is this normal or do I need to be chasing this up? I can't see how this can be declined as it was a quidco exclusive deal I signed up to. I'd be grateful if you would look into it for me Jules. Thanks, Sarah (niandsa)
