Get the best mobile phone and cheapest contract

Hello All,

This is not a quick money saver, but it does work!!!

If you are someone who has to change their phone and contract yearly or likes to squeeze as much out of your mobile phone operator as you can, you will like this.

When your mobile phone contract is up for renewal, request to terminate your contract and request your PAC code. (4 weeks before it's due to end).

**Vodaphone always say this must be done in writing.

**To save hassle, Use the contact us page on the website to request your PAC code. ** You will get an automated receipt to say it has been received. Thus you can prove that they got the request.

This will trigger the retention people at the provider - this is important!!! (Normally when you call upgrades, they only have limited flexibility as to what they can offer, the offers they have are not as good as the retention people can give you).

They will call you, offering pretty good deals on decent phones. Whatever they do say NO.

Whilst you are waiting for them to call back have a look on the internet for phones which are not available yet. Nokia for example has a section on their website dedicated to forthcoming models, select one which you know is definately NOT available. They will call you a week later offering you yet more deals and asking which model you would like, at this point tell them you would like the unavailable model, which of course they will say you cannot have. You then need to tell them that their is no phone you like, they will then start offering you extra minutes, texts and discounts to keep you existing phone -THIS IS THE OBJECTIVE. Do this, I acheived Double minutes and Texts at half the standard monthly rate.

Anytime 200 +100 texts reverted To 400 minutes and 200 texts for 15.50. (Perminantly!!!)

12 month's later, this time ring up the upgrades section (the point here is you want to keep your contract - ask for the phone you want, then negotiate if needs be (I managed to get a Nokia 8800 for £50 (Normally a V EXPENSIVE phone - currently it would be £230 on my contract, was £400 when I did this))

The end result is that I have in my humble opinion the best Nokia phone currently available and I have got a superb contract deal.

Try it for yourself!!! :T
